I got to meet this sweet family out on their lovely property, which was the perfect backdrop for our shoot! A rustic old barn, gorgeous fall foliage, pumpkins, big smiles and a cute doggie…the perfect combination for an October morning in Virginia.
A new family of three. A perfect three month old baby boy. The most beautiful nursery ever created! Getting the opportunity to photograph this family makes me feel so lucky and so inspired.
It’s my annual break-from-tradition-and-share-a-personal-photo day (aka, an image from our wedding since it’s our fourth anniversary!). I will never forget what an incredible day we were blessed to share with our family and friends. You never know how many more times you will get to be surrounded by all of your favorite people in the world. Life gets busy and time moves on. That’s a reason why I cherish our photographs and have devoted so much of my life to photography. Photo credit to the fabulous Amber Kay. Hope everyone is enjoying the fall season!
It is amazing to already be reflecting back on five years. September 2009 is when I took a personal leap-of-faith to create a photography brand in which I wholeheartedly believe. It’s nice to know that five years in, I still feel the same way. With a move to Virginia comes a time of reflecting and rebuilding, but the core of Sweet Tea Imagery remains the same. It’s about family. Real moments. Simple, clean imagery. Priceless captures of time with those who matter most.
I look back with gratitude to all the families I had the privilege to work with, and look forward to continuing to photograph amazing families in the future!
Another year has just zipped on by, and it’s our third anniversary! I love that we had a fall wedding…it’s our favorite season and also our favorite time of year in the lowcountry. Even though I tend to keep this blog very client-focused, I do have a tradition of sharing a wedding photograph once a year. This was captured by my wonderful and talented friend Amber Reinink, just like last year and the year before. Special days when you get the privilege of being surrounded by all of your closest family and friends are so rare; we do not take them for granted. It is good to look back and remember what a joyful time it was. Hope everyone is having a great week so far! After all, along with being our anniversary, it’s Hump Day!
I just adore working with families. Especially ones with sweet baby boys like this handsome little guy! And I love that their first three babies, their dogs, made it into the shoot as well. Here are a few favorites from this wonderful bunch:
I just want to take a minute and wish all of our wonderful family, friends, and clients a fabulous New Year. We are so looking forward to what 2013 will bring. I am excited to start doing family shoots again very shortly, and look forward to working with you all very soon! Happy New Year!
